Note: Rumi has accumulated many names over the last 800 years. The theologian, poet and mystic is called Mevlana, Maulana, Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, or Maulana Jelaluddin Rumi. For clarity, we will refer to the great Sufi poet simply as ‘Mevlana’ or ‘Rumi’.
